Third Day Garden
Growing Goodness, Sharing God’s Love
Tucked behind the church, the Third Day Garden is a vibrant, fenced-in space where faith takes root—literally. With four 10×20 plots, this volunteer-led garden has been blooming for over a decade, lovingly tended by members and friends of John Knox Presbyterian Church.
From spring through fall, a variety of vegetables are planted, watered, and cared for using organic growing practices. While rabbits and squirrels keep us on our toes, the garden continues to thrive—thanks to the dedication of our church community.
The heart of this ministry is in the giving. Each season, we donate hundreds of pounds of fresh produce to Neighbors Along the Line, enhancing their food pantry offerings and helping to nourish families in west Tulsa. In 2023 alone, the garden yielded more than 400 pounds of healthy, homegrown food. Surplus harvests are also joyfully shared with church members.
The Third Day Garden is more than just a place to grow vegetables—it’s a place where we grow community, generosity, and gratitude. Come dig in with us!
“Working in the garden is truly a labor of love for me! No matter how I feel when I arrive, I always leave happier and more at peace!”
