Sunday School at John Knox Presbyterian Church is a place where faith is nurtured, questions are welcomed, and scripture comes alive for every generation. Before worship each Sunday, children and adults gather to explore God’s Word in ways that are thoughtful, engaging, and connected to our shared life as a congregation.
Adults: Deepening Understanding
Our Adult Sunday School class provides an opportunity to grow in faith through scripture, discussion, and fellowship. Each week, participants explore biblical themes, share insights, and consider how God’s Word speaks to the challenges and opportunities of everyday life. Questions are welcomed, conversation is encouraged, and all are invited to join us as we seek to deepen our faith, strengthen our relationships, and grow together as a community of believers.
Children: Discovering Faith
Our elementary students explore the week’s lectionary texts through Feasting on the Word, engaging scripture through storytelling, creativity, movement, and conversation. Each lesson is interactive and developmentally appropriate, helping children recognize their place within God’s unfolding story. As we journey through the seasons of the church year, they grow alongside the congregation—learning not only the stories of the Bible, but how to live out their faith each day.
Nursery: Faith Begins Here
Nursery care is available during both Sunday School and Worship, providing a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for our youngest children. Our paid nursery staff offer attentive, compassionate care and age-appropriate activities so parents and guardians can fully participate in learning and worship with confidence and peace of mind.
Sunday School at JKPC is more than a program—it is a rhythm of discipleship. As we seek to Welcome, Embrace Diversity, and Do Christ’s Mission, we grow in understanding, strengthen relationships, and prepare our hearts to serve Christ in the world. All are welcome.
