Serving with Love: Volunteering at the Tulsa Community Food Bank
At John Knox Presbyterian Church, we have long believed that faith is made visible through acts of love—and one of the most impactful ways we lived out that love was by volunteering with the Tulsa Community Food Bank.
In past years, members of our congregation joined other volunteers at the Food Bank to sort, pack, and distribute food to families in need across northeastern Oklahoma. From filling boxes with fresh produce to organizing non-perishable items, each task helped ensure that no one in our community went hungry.
Volunteering was more than an act of service—it was an opportunity to build relationships, share joy, and reflect Christ’s compassion in tangible ways. As Jesus said,

The Tulsa Community Food Bank is a vital lifeline for families in need, and at JKPC Tulsa, we invite you to join us in this meaningful mission to combat hunger in our community. Together, we can turn compassion into action, ensuring that everyone has access to the food they need to thrive. Explore the opportunities waiting for you and become a part of the change we wish to see.
