Care & Compassion
Embracing Community Through Compassion
At John Knox Presbyterian Church, we are committed to being the hands and heart of Christ in the lives of one another. Through prayer, service, support, and presence, our Care & Compassion ministries offer love in action—for those within our church family and in the wider community.
Whether you’re walking through a difficult time or looking for a way to serve, there is a place for you here.
Ways We Care

Deacons Ministry
Our Board of Deacons is the caring arm of the church, offering practical support, prayer, cards, calls, and comfort to members in times of need.

Home Communion
For members who are homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise unable to attend worship, our Deacons provide the Sacrament of Communion—extending the table of grace.

Prayer Chain
The JKPC Prayer Chain is a faithful group of members committed to lifting up prayer requests received from our congregation. Requests are shared confidentially and prayed over daily, offering spiritual support and encouragement.
How You Can Help
Whether writing a note of encouragement, making a meal, visiting a member, or giving a gift of time or resources, your compassionate presence can make a difference.
Love one another. Serve one another. Be the church.
There is no act of care too small when done in Christ’s name.
